Who's Watching The Children?

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!”

Matthew 18:6-7

God does not ever beat around the bush. He is very clear about his intentions for humanity and the institutions that he established: Marriage, Family, The Church, Education, and Government. Unfortunately, satan has managed to pervert every single institution that God put into place in order that humans live healthy, full, and abundant lives. It is easy to put all of the blame on a metaphysical being that we cannot see with our eyes, like the devil. Deep down we know and sense that there is demonic influence all around us. Therein lies the problem, if we make it possible, the devil uses people as vessels, just like God can use us if we allow him to, according to our freewill. Therefore, it is human beings who are the ones guilty of acting out of their core philosophical beliefs that end up causing destruction and turmoil. Satan can get nothing done if people do not cooperate.

There is, however, no institution more sacred than the family and the charge to raise godly offspring (Deut. 6:4-9). God created each of us with the capacity to learn and to understand order. Any deviation from order becomes chaotic, and this is not from God. Our minds are continually absorbing information that is all around us. Most, if not all, creatures have the built-in capacity to mimic what they see using the mirror neurons in their brain. It is not new knowledge that children are like sponges and are incredibly vulnerable to false information. Science shows that all of our thoughts and experiences not only make an imprint on our brain but can affect our DNA. The field of epigenetics reveals that what we think, and what we are subjected to will inevitably create chemical markers on our DNA. These chemical markers affect how we react and how we behave which ultimately affects the way that we live out our lives and, in the end, our destiny.

Every stage of development is important in the life of a child, and this is why Jesus was emphatic about the penalty for misleading children (Matt. 18:6-7). Adults have the responsibility to train up a child in the way that they should go (Prov.22:6). Misguiding and deliberately teaching children to sin or to allow for chaos and continual contradictions of conscience that will lead the vulnerable into psychological despair, is unforgivable. It is no secret that the institution of the family has been under attack for decades and now the enemy is going straight for the jugular, the children. A perversion of the minds of the young has also been in the works for decades much like the attack on the family, but now it is out in the open. Those who are actively engaged in teaching aberrant thoughts and behaviors to children of all ages have been empowered by our government and they are shamelessly and defiantly distorting reality at every level in the education system.

As Christians, we cannot allow for this to continue on our watch. If you know and do nothing it is just as much of a sin and will be counted as participating in this attack on the future generation. The ultimate demise of the children will be counted as your loss right alongside of those who ignore or make excuses for what is happening (Ezek. 33).

It is time to take a stand for the kingdom of God.
