Return To The Beginning

"... if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

2 Chron. 7:14

When people quote this passage, I always think; Yes, all God is asking is for people to turn away from their idolatry and return to HIM, but that was for the Israelites at that time in history and not for us today. Many passages that we would like to claim are limited to a historical time in history when God moved for his chosen. However, the more I think about it (and want this to be for us now), the more I wonder; why not us?

As a citizen of the United States, I am very aware of how perverse our culture has become since I was a child, and it all corelates with a concerted effort to take the Judeo-Christian God out of everything – literally EVERYTHING. Even in the Church, as pastors became more focused on a secularized view of social justice, the Bible needed to be watered down and the hard truths removed. I became acutely aware of how perverse and accommodating many branches of the Church had become when I had to stand up to the heresy at my children’s Episcopal “Christian” school nearly 15 years ago. In fact, finding a true Bible believing, God fearing church is like finding a needle in a haystack. Even seminaries were long ago infiltrated by a progressive theology that accommodates the idolatrous culture surrounding us today and leaves out the God represented in Scripture.

Many of us were taught not to “push” our faith onto others, and still others were taught that there are many ways to heaven, and we just need to be tolerant. Most of us complied because it was easier than to push against the current. The floodgates of heresy were helped open by the Church and the rest is history. Just look around and think about what you see. Does America look like a godly nation to you, or does it look like the leading nation in coercion for blatant perversity and filth? Perhaps more like Sodom and Gomorrah?

We desperately need to return to our roots as a nation. A nation that was built on Christian biblical principles. We need to humble ourselves before the Creator to repent and seek forgiveness. We need to ask God to accept our pleas and heal our land. God is faithful and promises to hear the cries of the remnant.

A small group of us plan to do just that – We are setting aside a day in history to return to the spot where the first settlers landed and prayed and fasted for three days before they set foot on this new territory that they would ask the Judeo-Christian God to bless. Please join us on April 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. EST to re-covenant our land back to the LORD. Let’s join our hearts as one to plead with our Creator to heal our land and protect us from the demonic tyranny that is hovering over us in every facet of our lives.
